Workers of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Mardan chapter on Tuesday staged a protest rally against the provincial government and local police for allegedly victimizing and harassing the people in the district. The rally was led by former federal minister and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti, former deputy speaker Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assembly Ikramullah Shahid, Nawazada Aurangzeb Khan and other office bearers.

The protest started from Khwaja Hoti residence, Bagh in Mardan, was attended by a large number of the party workers, raising full-throated slogans against the provincial government and local police. The rally turned into a protest meeting at Bacha Khan chowk in district Mardan. Khwaja Hoti while addressing the demonstrators strongly criticized the local police and accused them of victimizing and harassing the people in the district.
